3 rooms in Art Around the Building
Richard Wright worked with architects Caruso St John to create this handmade glass and leading for the eastern window in the Millbank foyer
It was commissioned as part of the Millbank Project, completed in 2013, which saw the development of the oldest part of the Tate Britain building.
Richard Wright's idea was executed by the York Glaziers Trust, which normally conserves glass at York Minister. The window exemplifies the wider project - a restoration of original architecture, a contemporary approach to pattern and line, and traditional methods of manufacture that involve precision and skill.
